Put mine in storage about a week ago. It's sad, but every spring it's like getting a brand new car again.

Mine goes off the road this weekend also. Saves €800+ on road tax alone. Plus the car would be permanently wet then add salt etc. There will probably only be two dry weekends between now and springtime so just no point unfortunately.

A rather rusty Miata, that was run with snow tires and hard top for several winters, is partly why I got the Boxster and I'd rather not subject it to those conditions. However If they didn't ever use salt on the roads I'd be a bit more inclined to drive it in the winter.

I cleaned mine up this week and tried the cover on it today. I will try to keep driving it up to sometime in December, weather dependent, but don't want to get it dirty, since I like to store it clean and hate washing cars in cold weather. I was really pleased with the quality of the cover, but find it does need to be carefully placed over the convertible top, since it does not slide on it.
