Early AM Driving

I took the Boxster out to drive this morning very early. I was up and out the door by 6:25 am. Headed out of Houston to my little twisty country roads and tore it up. Great fun!

Stopped to render aid to a motorcyclist who tried to turn on loose gravel (1-2 mph tops, he said) and layed his bike down. He wasn't hurt, but was standing there looking embarassed. It was a large ninja-type bike (sorry, didn't ask what kind it was and didn't see any obvious badge) and there was just no way he was going to upright it alone. Nice bike... now all scraped up on one side. I felt bad for him, but hey, he didn't crush his leg and he did ride away, so it was a much better day than it could have been!

Then I headed up another not-so-twisty desolate road and did some high-speed driving. The bikes out this morning were far faster, but I sure was happy in my ride.

No problems to report... just great top-down curve carving. I really should do this at least once a month.

Randall, you will be able to enjoy this little pleasure until the introduction of speed cameras. Just kidding...don't want to start that discussion again.

Isn't it great to put the top down, throw in a couple good tunes and exercise the beast? Life is good...especially when you are at the top of the food chain.

"No problems to report... just great top-down curve carving."

Randally, not to jinx you, but it seems like you've reached that point of equilibrium where all the maintenance and fixing you've done have kicked in. Cars seem to hit this point where a bunch of **************** needs to be done, but afterwards they run well for long stretches. Sounds like you may be there.
