Noise on start up

I am getting a noise on start up - but only when the car has sat for a few days. It doesn't happen if it has been 24 hours or so, but if I leave it for a long weekend, etc there is a rattle for a second or two then it goes away.

I took a short video/audio clip of it but am not sure how to upload it?

EDIT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YgxVgpl-SoI&feature=youtu.be

Thank you

Garage
Its probably the hydraulic lifters that are noisy until they have filled with oil. Quite normal.

That's a awfully loud clatter even if its only for a few seconds. Mine doesn't sound like that. Maybe normal on some but if mine did that id be bothered by it too.

You can scroll down and see a thread with a poll on how many of us hear the same noise. I also mentioned in that thread that I recall reading that an updated oil pressure relief valve consisting of the piston and spring is supposed to take care of that. Basically the reasoning behind it is that the worn one starts to leak and allows the oil to bleed down vs a new one will keep more oil at the top of the engine for extended periods of time when the car is parked.

What year and how many miles? It could be an easy fix like chain tensioners.
