Liner question

Picture this: In my 2001S, as you follow the liner back towards the plastic rear window (on each side) the material 'floats' (not sewn in). On the underside of liner material (in this area) there is a sticky residue (on the stayfast canvass too) that soils the plastic each time you collapse the top.

Is the liner supposed to 'float' in this area?

If not, can I apply some adhesive to re-tack it?

Just curious if anyone else experiences this ... I couldn't find anything in the forum.

Thanks!

Garage
That flap is heat sealed to the top and is held onto the back of the frame. Just had this happen to mine. Try 3M VHB tape. I did a similar repair: see the recent thread under my name

Thanks, my issue is not in the same area, rather it is inside the cabin at the rear 'quarter area' of the liner. I'll get some of this tape and see if that works though!
