Conv Top

Any tips on adjusting the top on my '99 base Boxster? In the up position the passenger side canvas goes/slips outside the side rail instead of behind it.
I've seen this on pics of other 986's so it must be a common problem. Thanks!

Check to see if your top has the Velcro straps sewn into the top near the plastic covered steel cable running along the edge of the top right above the window on both sides. These straps secure around the pushrods of the top frame. Their stitching can come out and they stop doing their job. This is one cause of your issue. I had it and re-sewed the Velcro straps back in and haven't had the issue again. My car is an '03 and yours is a '99 but I think that part of both tops is the same or similar.
