Have your dealer get you a couple 996 701 811 00 G2X.

They are only $7-9 and will fit properly. Will look great once you paint them, as "G2X" means "primer."

FYI, bumperplugs does not use OE parts.

This part # 996 701 811 00 G2X posted at Pelican does not look like the part I want. Their Diagram is somewhat confusing. Most likely it's the correct part.

Here is Renntechs forum showing a picture of a OEM painted plug.

If by chance the fasteners from Lowe's are not to my satisfaction, I'll see the Stealership for the plugs

I bought the Porsche plugs from Pelican for a few bucks and had a small bottle of Polar Silver single stage touch up paint mixed up for $11 at the auto body supply store. Good enough.

I stopped by Lowe's yesterday and located the fastener section. A clerk was nearby and I described what I was looking for and I mentioned they were on the Lowe's website for $.80. He led me to the section where there were two sliding drawers marked Automotive fasteners. Both Metal, and plastic. When he open the drawer right off I saw what I was looking for. There were several types of plugs, some for Ford, Chrysler, Nissan, GM, etc. After looking through the supply I found these.

I thought the gray would be best to work with than black. They fit perfectly in my Bumper. I will spray with adhesive promoter, prime and spray the Arctic Silver base coat and clear coat. So for a half gallon of diesel and a little time spent and the cost of 80 cents plus tax for the two, I think I am way ahead of the game. A final picture of the buttons installed will come later.

Where do you purchase the arctic silver spray paint and clearcoat? What adhesive are you using?

No adhesive required with the Porsche plugs. You wouldn't be able to order from my local body shop supply store but every major centre has them. They sell paint to the auto body shops.

FinishMasters in Jacksonville FL. an automotive paint store. They also have stores in other states. I strongly reccomend them . They can mix any paint code and put the base coat in a spray can. Their color match is perfect. I Googled FinshMasters for you and found they are on Facebook. I might also mention, all their stores don't have the setup to put paint in spray cans. I belive FinishMasters will ship. I see you are in Indiana, and FinishMasters, Inc., is an Indiana based corporation. As for the Adhesive Promoter it's only used on Plastics. It also come from FinishMasters. I might add I purchased my spray cans to do another job. Not to just spray the buttons.

Hope this helps!
