I drove from Houston to Northern California and back without a bra on the car (had to qualify that for you smartalec forum members!). Give the car a good wax before you leave and don't tailgate big trucks... you'll be fine!
I had a bra on my Eclipse and only used it on long trips... which were too few to warrant the cost of ownership. And when it rained on the road and road dirt got under it it scratched the crap out of the paint along the edges.
