Super, I am not sure if the process of gauge swapping is the same for the 987 and the 986. I did the 986.

If so, It's about 45 minutes' worth of work if you get it right the needles back in the right place the very first shot... which probably ain't gonna happen. Putting those needles back in the exact position they came out is doable, but I can't see anyone getting it right on the first try unless you've done it a dozen times and done it recently.

So, get ready to have your patience tested.

But, it's not a hard mod to do overall.
