tire size for 987

Hi,
I cant find any post specific for a 2005 boxster base 17Inch wheel specs.

Whats the best combination F+R I can install with the widest tire in the rear without sticking out the body too much but looking good/aggressive?
is it like the 986 : 225/45R17 with 255/40R17; 205/50R17 with 255/40R17 ?

Thanks

That's because your car is a 987 and you're on the 986forum.
But, you already knew that.

For a 987, it's 205/55/17 front 235/50/17 rear. They do run larger overall tire diameters than the 986s do.

PW is being a bit sarcastic (hence the emoji). Perfectly fine to ask 987 questions here. I haven't owned a 986 for 9 yrs but have remained a member.

There is a site named Planet-9 that covers 987s (and 981s and 718s). The members there are just as nice as they are here.

Hope you're enjoying your Boxster.
