Tran Paddle Switch

I have a 2003 Boxster with Tiptronic Tran. The left paddle switch is broken. I bought a paddle switch for the left side of steering wheel but was told that was only part of the switch and the cost of switch and replacement was $750. Thats a bit steep even for a Porsche Part. Has anyone experience with this switch and can comment on the complete assembly. I am having the clock spring replaced under warranty and would like to replace the left side paddle switch if I could locate one at a resonable price. Comments Please!

I suggest you look for a replacement steering whee. Start with Woody, itsnotanova on this forum.
