PMs have been sent to everyone that asked for one. Check your inboxes. ;)

If I missed anyone, let me know!

Payment sent, thanks! I wonder if this would also work for the 996 (I might need one for such a beast).

Probably about $60 shipped. If you guys think that's too much, let me know. I'm not looking to make a profit, just enough to make it worth while. :)

Subscribed for the Oxygen sensors hack!! Let me know if/when one is ready, I have some friends that might be interested too :)

Amen! I'd buy a pair today if there was something like it on the market!

(Might be courteous to start a new thread on this since it's off-topic to the original post)

I was Particlewave's tester for the SAI circuit. If the O2 sensor circuit is as effective ,it is a very useful device.
I was not trying to cheat the Smog Laws. I was up against a deadline for the Smog Test and needed the 'sticker'' so I could continue working on fault finding. Without a "Pass" of the Smog Test and the precious sticker, your out of date one makes you CHIP bait.Expensive !
The other problem is the "Drive Cycle". If you research this ,you will see comments that it is a potentially dangerous/impossible procedure in urban areas.
Particlewave's circuit allows a more leisurely approach to solving the SAI issues.
For the O2 sensor circuit, the situation is similar. I had O2 sensor codes despite a newly rebuilt engine and 4 new sensors, coils, plugs etc. I needed to pass Smog to get the sticker, to continue working on a fix. The only hack available is anti-foulers. These are clearly visible and an instant huge penalty in the Visual part of the Test. You do not want to do that ! In my case the O2 code seems to have been aberant but when that comes up on your way to the Test you have no way of knowing it. Just clearing the code resets all the Readiness Monitors to "Fail" - it is a useless reaction.
The O2 Sensor circuit is easily removable/reversible just like the SAI circuit. It is therefore a great aid to gaining the time to diagnose and fix the problem.
Without the O2 problem-solver circuit , you might mistakenly buy 2 new catalytic converters - a huge and needless expense.
The other caution is that we don't know the long term effect of running with these problem-solvers circuits connected. I expect the SAI circuit would be totally harmless despite the brief unburnt HC. There are adverse comments about cheapo O2 code MIL eliminators(EBay) but Particlewave's test circuit should not be confused with those.

I hope this perspective helps others understand the justification for the SAI problem solver circuit and similar devices as a diagnostic tool.
Thanks to Particlewave for helping us.

Here, it is exactly that we are trying to do to. Not because we want to kill the world, its just to keep our modded cars on the roads for an extra year - or at least until we buy another less polluting one. So far the advertised technique locally that work every time is to mix your gas tank with alcohol (5gas:1alcohol ratio) and heat up the crap out of the cats/exhaust before the inspection.

My box just passed 3 months ago. Has performance 200cells cats and modded exhaust so you could also call this trick worthy. Burns cleaner than a Tesla :D

Downside: 100% alcohol is not exactly cheap. A circuit might be the solution lolll

I'd like to be the added to o2 list please.

Would it work on a 987.2 Cayman R too?

My brother has one with catless headers and gets a CEL obviously.

If so then may he up for 2 02 circuit kits....posted to UK.

O2 problem solver huh, I want a pair for 2001-2.7 if they will work on it.

jcslocum 06-17-2017 03:42 AM

Did I miss out on the install instructions?? It may be quite obvious and I have yet to get under the hood today to look.

Any progress with O2 sensors? :)

Looks like the thread went silent

I ran into a few snags a have been busy with another project. Will get back to it as soon as possible. ;)

SAI circuit tester

I would be very interested in purchasing one of your SAI circuit tester units. I have been through many attempts to fix this problem including disassembling the top of The motor/manifold/Replacing various bits and pieces, smoke checking and all to no avail. Please send me the details on how to obtain one of your units. Thanks, Chrishttp://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1513884330.jpg

funny. i was just thinking about that this morning.
i need one too if you got it to work.

Brockmeister 12-23-2017 11:47 AM

Hi Particlewave. I'm interested in the SAI bypass. I've been having the codes pop in and out for the problem for too long. If you are making more please include me on the list.

vanekert 05-18-2018 03:00 PM

Is your SAI device still available? please let me know, as I would be very interested in purchasing one. Thank you.
