lug nuts question and a couple other ones

Hi I'm new here. Some good info just reading some posts. I just have a couple questions.

I have a 2001 Boxster S and I don't have a tool kit is that an option or is it hidden somewhere?

Also where is the tire jack?

If I take off one lug nut and replace the same lug nut do I have to use the jack?

Finally does anybody know a good place to get repacement center caps, lug nuts and stem caps?

Thanks...

Jack and tools should be behind the spare tire...

if your really missing your tool kit, like i did, just get them on ebay...much cheaper than buying them from porsche. I got mine for around $90 for the complete kit. Hope this helps.

Replacing one lug nut without jacking the car should not be a problem.

thank you

thanks, I did find the tool kit and jack behind the tire. I think I will replace the rusted lug nuts/bolts when I get new tires. Thanks again for your help.

Rob,

The place you take to replace your tires won't have Porsche lug nuts, as they are unique to Porsches (read: more expensive). Actually, they are remarkably durable bolts, as they withstand 96 ft/lbs of torque with a length of only 45mm. You can get the replacement OEM ones here - http://www.epiqautosport.com/mode/products/prid/106/1137 - or pick up some chrome versions as well. Alternatively, you can just clean and paint your existing ones...

Buy an owner's manual off of Ebay if you can. It's actually pretty helpful in getting to know your car...

I think I will paint my lug bolts. Can anyone recommend a durable paint that will withstand the pressures of a lug wrench?
