Leak - right side tranny

Hi all, have a question. I noticed some oil - looks feels and smells like engine oil.

2002 Boxster S

Got under the car and it looks like it is coming from the right side of the tranny. Assuming some sort of shifter? Pictures attached. Thanks!http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1486995564.jpg

It's the shifter bushing in the trans housing. I had mine fixed by pressing in a roller bearing and a new seal. If the shaft is worn you'll need the shift lever.

Thanks! So no need to drop the transmission or anything? Easy fix?

Drop trans. Pull gear box housing. I did this and have pics.

Then find an Indy that will do this. My guy got creative. A new housing is about $900.

This is a very common issue and there are fixes but cost to do it is an issue. Mine 'weeps' but not a lot . I live with it for now since there is no harm to the tranny and none of the oil makes its way to the ground.
