Rear Window Decal

Hello everyone,

I unfortunately need a decal on my car to park at school. The only two options are on the rear window of your car or on the rear bumper. I would like to avoid putting the decal on the rear bumper, but I feel like the decal would be very hard to get off of the rear window. Does anyone have any experience with this, or know if a sticker on the rear window is a bad idea? Thank you very much!

I had to do the same thing. Instead of using the decals adhesive, I taped it on from the inside, but the tape still left foggy areas.

I'd suggest making a small bracket/holder for it that you can set on the rear deck so you don't ruin the vinyl.

I actually saw your thread when I was trying to figure this out, haha. The parking rules and regulations website says taping the decal to the window in any way will get you a $10 fine. Pretty much the only way not to get a fine is sticking it on the outside of the window or bumper. I really like the bracket idea though, I might give that a shot.

I am not sure if this will work on the rear window, I used it for my windshield, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. I went to a fabric store and got a small piece of clear vinyl (exactly like the rear window but thinner), then I attached the decal to the vinyl. Static cling held the vinyl to the window, and I could peel it off whenever I needed too.

Wow, that is really clever. Thank you, I just might have to do that!

how about using an inspection sticker mount for a motorcycle? I bought one for my motorcycle. didn't want to stick anything to my bike so got one of those. it mounts to one of the four corner bolts that hold you license plate on then you put your sticker on the bracket. Nothing is permenant. ebay motorcycle inspection sticker plate.
