Can you please tell me what this button does?

I've tried downloading manuals. I've googled a few times. I can't figure out what the globe button does on my AC control panel.

Thanks.

Ummm...activates the vents that blow in your face.
The down arrow is for the footwell vents, the up arrow is for the windshield vents and the center button is for the center/side vents.

Thanks! It seems like mine blows out the primary vents regardless. I'll test tomorrow.

This is much easier than the iDrive vent chooser though.

If the vents are not opening and closing properly, the flaps that divert the air are probably missing their foam covering. Could also be the flap control servo.

The middle vents blow lightly regardless, and I think auto controls the direction of air but if you press that button it specifically diverts most air into the center just make sure your vents are open, close the middle to get more on the sides.

No, they don't. If yours do, then you're probably missing foam on one or more of your diversion flaps.

Wrong again.
"Auto" is for automatic temperature control (controls the heater core flap/AC and fan speed).
Sounds like you also need to contact Jay for a copy of the owners manual.

I know for a fact that if you put it on auto and turn it to heat it will direct air to the footwell instead of front vents.

It's turbo enable. Nobody uses it. It's a little known secret.

It activates the foam dispersion feature out of the center vents. Blows air AND foam at the same time to simulate driving in brave treacherous conditions!

Haha, Timco and Boxta!

The Auto button will automatically try to keep the interior temp at the desired level by adjusting both the volume of air through fan speed, and distribution of air through vent location. You can override it with the manual fan speed or vent location (glass, center/side, floor).
