Floor mat recommendations

I have a 2001 Boxster S, arctic silver, silver interior trim accents. I bought it with aftermarket floor mats (black) that were worn and a different black color than the Porsche carpet. I recently purchased Lloyds "berber 2" mats, and the fit is great but its starting to wear at the heel location (no heel pad) after only one month. More importantly, the carpet is not "berber" but a cheap-ass cut pile that looks like a $5 carpet remnant from WalMart. Ugly! Any suggestions for a long-term replacement? I'm considering coco mats (classic 60s-70s sports car look) or maybe Lloyds Ultimat but I'm leery of Lloyds based on what I have now. Appreciate any recommendations/experience .

+1 on the Coco Mats. My driver's side is getting a little knackered after +/- 10 years. Coco will let you replace just one side. I think the Coco/VW/Porsche history make them a good choice.

I put these aluminum mat plates on my factory OEM Porshe mats. The driver's side has the right side elongated instead of left (as shown on the pass side), so it protects the gas pedal area from wear. I've had em for almost 15 yrs (I have an 01 box), and have never had to replace the mats.

Or you could get a plate of sheet metal and drill holes in it; a 12X12 in. goes for $12.00

I am very pleased with the original floor mats 00004480053A10 (now in the "classics" section).
They are sturdy, stay in place, perfect fit and look good

available in various colors of course

Thanks for the good suggestions. I just ordered coco mats. When I first started yearning for a real sports car many years ago, coco mats were "the" floor mats to have. Now that I am finally able to own my dream car, the coco mats just really resonate with me. I should have gone with my gut originally rather than try to save a few bucks. Now I just have to learn patience for the 4-5 weeks wait time!
