New Boxster Owner

I just thought I would introduce myself to the group. I am the new owner of a 2002 Boxster S. I have never owned a Porsche before and now I wonder why this didn't happen sooner. What an amazing car. My name is Rich and I live in Livermore California, which is near the San Francisco bay area. As I get some pictures I will post them up here. Unfortunately the car did not come with any manuals and the guy I bought it from didn't seem to know how anything worked. So if someone could point me in the right direction to an owners manual I would appreciate it. I would like to perform an oil change this weekend to insure the car has good oil starting out with me.

Thanks
Rich

I would highly recommend that you also buy Wayne's book, 101 Projects for Your Porsche Boxster.

And I say that not just because he owns this Forum!

I second thstone. The 101 book has helped me more than once, and I'm no wrench.

I'd also suggest joining PCA and their Boxster Register.

Welcome!

Enjoy!

I just bought my first Porche (Boxster S) this Spring and wondered the same; why didn't it happen sooner; happy to be a Porche owner; it's life changing.

Welcome to the forum.
My Boxster also came without an owners manual....
I purchased one off eBay.
When I ran my battery down I ask questions here on the forum and watched YouTube videos to get it up and running again. Everyone has been extremely helpful.

Good Grief!

I just did a search on eBay for a 2002 Boxster S Owners Manual and I can’t believe the prices they are asking.

I guess I got extremely lucky when purchasing my Manual.

Better to purchase new from ****************************************************, its half what they are asking on eBay.
