Oil Pressure light blinking after using AC and more..

The other day I was using the AC in my 2001 Boxster and noticed the oil pressure light blink intermittently. I then stopped using the AC. Noticed the oil pressure light come on quickly when I come to an abrupt stop or when backing up.

Yesterday smoke started to come out the back as when an AOS goes bad. Could using the AC stress the car to the point of making the AOS go bad? (I had replaced the AOS in 2007). Thanks in advance for any replies.

Car is now in the shop

You did good by taking it to the shop. Oil pressure light is not something to mess around with. First and only time mine turned on the engine was toast . I hope in your case it's something less serious.
