Frunk light

I noticed my frunk light on my 00 S quit working so I replaced the bulb and still no go but all other interior lights work so I'm thinking a blown fuse?? I do not know what fuse is what so before I start pulling fuses out one by one to inspect a blown one does anybody know which fuse is the correct one or a diagram of the fuse box? Thanks!

If just that light I'd say the switch that controls the frunk light is bad. That light is likely not fused by itself.

Hmm, thanks I was kind of wondering if there was more to it then just a fuse. Any idea where the switch is?

Rub those 16 years old and oxidized contacts with abrasive paper and try again. (guessing here)

Not entirely sure about the circuit for this little one but certainly it is not on its own. Meaning other service lights wouldn't function, shall the circuit be the culprit.

Let us know as mine is also fried Haven't tried to replaced it, yet anyway

I had to replace the microswitch on my 00. There is a DYI on Renntech for replacing the frunk micro switch. I think you have to be a registered member to read it, but here's the link:

I just wanted to give you fellas an update on my frunk light issue. I read somewhere that the switch was in the hood latch so I took some WD40 silicone and sprayed the hell out of the latch and with a few minutes of soak time and a few cuss words the light came on and now the light works like a champ now. Good ole' german electric !

Thanks. WD-40 worked to fix my frunk light. It also helped the hood to pop up higher.

WD-40 while it has some lubricating properties, it is not a lubricant. Use pure silicon
