Mouse nest

Went to grab something out of the frunk and happened to see white cotton like stuff through the vent holes on the cowl cover in front of the driver side. Yep a mouse nest most likely left over from winter storage. it was very clean cotton like substance, some leafs, etc. Didn't see mouse turds or food and thankfully I can't find any sign of damage from chewing. I know of two friends that have had big $$$ repairs from mice eating wires. As a public service announcement, its always a good idea to give cars that don't get used much the once over.

Just went through this last week. Nest in the cabin air filter. Found 3 babies. No wire damage but had to replace filter. Got off easy. I have since caught and released several rats. I think I am winding down.

Since then I put moth balls in the trunk and frunk. The engine area scares me a bit. Hopefully my traps catch them before they eat my wallet.

I do remember opening my frunk to put a purchase in it and being scared to death when I saw a pair of eyes looking back at me next to the spare tire. Not that I'm terrified of mice, but you don't expect to see your frunk staring back at you. The only thing worse was opening the trash chute at my condo at being confronted with a big crow just standing there!

We don't have issues with rats or mice - its snakes that are the problem.....

Enough is ENOUGH! I have had it with these Mr Falcon snakes on this Mr Falcon Boxster. Everybody strap in, we're about to open some Falcon windows.

I'd link the actual scene but it's NSFW.

I'm not sure if you guys have good snakes down there? Around here we have good snakes that eat the bad ones. My neighbors call me when they find snakes and the good ones I bring back to my yard. The bad ones get a quick death!

Mr Falcon is the watered down for-TV version of what Sam Jackson was saying.

It comes from Die Hard II.

Mice

I've had mice problems in the past.
I now use electronic mouse control. One unit makes noise, the other emits light and sound I guess. I can't hear the latter.
Inexpensive compared to repairs
No more mice!!
