0430 is often just a bad gas cap. Easy fix. Clutch, not so much.

Did I find some bad info that code is a O2 sensor or cat? Didnt find any reference for gas cap, not doubting you just trying to learn...

P0430 has nothing to do with the gas cap, it is the code for low conversion rates on the three way cat on bank 4-6. Usually, this is a failing cat.

Right you are JFP. That was a hip shot from memory and I didn't look it up. My bad.

P0445 was resolved with a fresh gas cap but a periodic P0430 is indeed a poor functioning cat. I managed to clear it out some with a bottle of techron and a spirited drive so it would still pass smog but the code reappeared 6 months later. The long term fix is to replace the failed cat.
