Thank you for the kind words about my others bits.

Good luck to ya! If the scoops come out as well as your other work, count me in for a set of those.

The smaller one is very nice, if you can do the more contoured as to follow the green line previously mentioned I think it would be perfect, do you have a price set yet?

+1
As is, or with the "green line" contour.

Hi guys, here are some more pictures of the duck tail. Spent the last two days reshaping and massaging the whole thing. I very happy with the shape now and I hope you will be also.

Let me know your thoughts.

I hope to start the mold this Friday and barring a lot of orders for my other stuff coming in should be ready to start making parts by the middle of next week.

I'd like to introduce this thing with a group buy. Pricing will be on an ascending discount percentage based on the number of people wanting the duck tail.

I like this a lot. Please let me know of the group buy pricing.

Also, does this fit on the existing fin structure, or a new piece?
And, is it able to be removed with no damage to the original?

Thanks!

I like it!

Put me on the list for one.

stelan 07-07-2016 10:55 AM

Will you be selling it painted black or raw?

Joe toth 07-08-2016 10:35 AM

A few more pictures before it comes off the car to make the mold.

Hi guys, time to start a GROUP BUY list and leave it open for two weeks.

The mold has been started and should be complete next week.

The list price for the ducktail will be $450.00 and the discounts are as follows based on the number of people signed up.

1-10 10%
11-15 15%
16-29 20%
30 and over 25%

I have looked at shipping costs and will come in around the 20 dollars range. I am in western Canada, Vancouver. Shipping across the continent to Miami worked out a bit over 22 dollars. I do ship overseas and will get rates if needed.

The list will remain open until Friday night July 22nd at which time we'll all find out for how much I am selling the ducktail.
I trust we will not end up with a list of 30 plus people and in the end 5 people actually end up buying the part. I ask you follow through with the purchase if you put your name on the list.

In case your wondering about me and can I do this please look at my Facebook page "Joe Toth Composites" or google my name and you will find lots threads in other forums of work I have done and many satisfied customers.

Lets get a list started and see where it goes.

Couple of questions.

Are these fiberglass, carbon fiber, or?

What is the chance of rub/wear again to body or trunk?

Speed tested?

Painting options? I see yours is black, did you paint it?

Final thoughts: I like the design a lot, but it seems to more than twice what I was expecting. I'm sure it's worth it, but I'll have to wait.
