Soft Top Help

[Muskoka Minute]

I'm going to clean my top this weekend with the RaggTop cleaner and sealer.
I have these 5 round spots on the top about 1 1/2 in diameter and they are evenly spaced.
I also have a line.

I didn't know if there was anyway to get rid of them before I clean and seal?
Or will the cleaner and sealer take them out.
I'm hoping is will but I'm not going to hold my breath.

All suggestions are welcome.

Also
Will the raggatop bring back the color?
If not is there a product I should use 1st to bring the color back?

I think they may be able to be minimized but I'm not sure about removal. I think that's a common sight on Boxsters that use the roof.

There are disc-shaped foam/rubber-like pads under the clamshell that contact (and hold secure) the folded top assembly when down, and apparently leave these corresponding circular marks where they contact the top material. How to remove, I can't say, but I would imagine if you looked at the cloth fibers closely (like, with with a microscope or magnification) they would be compressed in those areas and relatively "fluffed up" elsewhere.

If this is true, maybe some sort of gentle treatment could help them get "fluffed" back up and make the circular marks disappear. Sort of how you'd clean matted-down suede. (Although I must admit, I don't know off the top how one would clean matted-down suede, but I'd think google might have the answer? )

My 99 has the same thing. I used Glym a two part product from the UK. Once a year seems to work.
I want to get rid of the fuzzy parts where the frame rubs. I think one of the clothes shaver thing might work.

I have an 01 have same problem. I use a chemical guys cleaner with a repellant

works pretty well, but still have the circular impressions

I had no luck with this product when I first got my Boxster, water beaded for about 6 weeks and then like it was not there. It will not bring back the black color. I used another product called Nanodyze.....2 1/2 years later and countless car washes the water still beads. I am in no way connected with this product.

I used the RaggTop cleaner/sealer with good results. I used a soft brush to clean and scrub. i did this 2 x to make sure the color was as even as possible before doing the sealer.
