Remember These?

Remember these?

Saw this in an antique store today and had to buy it. The last time I saw one of these was over 50 years ago.

I thought it was the ones that you could by out of a gas station vending machine that would mold the dinosaur while you waited.

Found one in the original box in my in-laws' house. Cool item (and one that probably never got used).

Jager,

Good find!

My mother's maiden name is Sinclair. Her brother has a basement full of Sinclair signs, lights, old gas pumps, service station uniforms, etc. Everything Sinclair imaginable.

I remember when they were one of the major brands in WI - back in the 60s. So yeah, it's been 50 years. Wikipedia says there are 2,600 stations operating in 20 Western and Midwest states. But I bet they don't carry Dino bath soap. All gas stations had promotional materials through the 60s, but that all pretty much died with the 1973 oil embargo

So it looks like your uncle has a basement full of collectables?

I grew-up in northern Michigan, there were many Sinclair gas stations back in those days, not so much now.
