Going to the scrapyard

A moment of silence for our fallen brothers. They gave all they could, some more than others. The yellow one was a 2002 S with lots of options. The black one below it was an 01 S and the arena red only had 43,000 miles on it. I couldn't find one ounce of damage on the AR, but the insurance company labeled it "parts only" so it could never legally see the road again. The other two were 2.5's. Some people have called me the "King of the Boxsters". I think I'm more like the "Grim Reaper of Boxsters".

Woody,

Probably posted on the other thread too, but I am still in the market for an '03 - '04 top and frame in excellent condition. Thanks.

Or refrigerator or toaster lol. I hope they get reincarnated as something cool. The guys working at the scrapyard were quick to put them in the crusher. I think they thought they were stolen or something. They're suppose to take titles when they accept a vehicle at scrapyards but these guys directed me straight to the crusher.

Right! One boxster saves the lives of a few boxsters, or one spec boxster. A good portion of the body parts goes to repairing boxster's that got wrecked during racing. I appreciate what you guys buy from me on here, but those spec guys can go through a lot of parts. They treat them like bumper cars.

You need a few licenses and permits to do what I do in Texas. I only have the license to resale rebuilt salvage vehicles for one more month and then I'm going to let it expire. Texas changed the laws at the beginning of the year to where it's much more expensive and difficult to have that license. At this time I'm not interested in being a dealer. I have the license to sell vehicle parts only. Sorry

You guys would be shocked at the prices wrecked boxsters/996s have been going for these last two months. I'm not sure what is causing the upswing, but junkyards are paying a premium lately.

It works the other way too sometimes. I bought a front end collision Audi with a 'clean title' recently. It looked like an easy rebuild, until I pulled the bumper off and saw the frame damage and cracked engine block.

I probably jinxed myself by telling you guys about the SE. It's always the one's I don't care about that I have the winning bid. I need the wheels off it if I get it though. My Chinese wheels are going to the scrap pile very soon.

78F350, What Audi motor do you need? I have a 2002 S4 I'll be parting out soon

I would need a few interior pieces off the SE, if it's dark grey leather, as well as the CV axles if they are still serviceable, and the car back exhaust

I'm still looking for a 987 5 speed shift pattern insert. It's a little thing, I know, but it's driving me nuts! :-)

Thanks, but I've decided to just part it. It's an 01 A4 1.8T. A low bid that I didn't expect to win, so not that big a disappointment. My quest is to find a fairly local wrecked, but running A8 for the 4.2 V8+harness+electronics.
