Front bumper cover

Will a front bumper cover from a 97 fit later Boxsters ? Thanks

Yes, it will fit a 986 Boxster, MY97-04.

lkchris, you're 100% right. A base bumper will not have the center radiator cut out for the Boxster S. You can modify a base bumper to add the center radiator opening, but I don't recommend it, I've done it and it's more trouble than its worth.

03-04 are shaped differently but the 97-02 and the 03/04 front bumpers interchange with no problems

And.... And... a 1999 to 2001 996 bumper will fit too.

I just ran across a 97 with an S cover. Not origional? Car also has front and rear drilled roters. Bruce
