How to remove Porshe Logo Center cap from rim?

I just acquired 4 spare 17" turbo twist rims but without center caps with the Porsche logo.

I was wondering how do you remove those center caps?

Do you remove the wheel from the car and then unscrew something from the back side or do they just pry off?

My project will be to take one of my existing center caps off so I can make precise measurements for a 3D model so I can 3D Print some for my spare rims.

I think there is a little hole or a pair of holes in the cap. You stick a special Porsche tool in these holes and then pull the cap off. A paper clip might work too.

If you have the wheels off, just push them out
On the car, I use 2 small allen wrenches that fit in the holes and pull with 2 plyers

Like Jay says, push them out from behind. From the back side of the wheel, place the handle of a hammer on the cap and pop the head of the hammer with your palm.

You're probably better off buying one of the non oem sets. I got a colored crest set of 4 for 25 bucks on amazon.

You can make a center cap puller by cutting one end of a metal coat hanger off about halfway between the hanger part and the end. Then just slightly bend the loose ends of it at about 90 deg. with a pair of pliers. Adjust the width of it by lining it up with the holes in the center cap then hold it at an angle, put the ends in the holes, push in and straighten it then pull the caps off. It's basically the same thing you will spend $35 for from Porsche. If you're unsure go to eBay or Suncoast and check out what they look like and you'll have a good idea of how to fashion it. It's very easy and I keep mine in my tool kit along with the locking key for the lugs.

Yaa, but since I have a 3D printer at home I have to justify buying it so I need to make stuff with it.

Maybe something interesting like an Oreo Cookie center cap.

Thanks for the Tips guys. Never noticed holes in the cap.
