Find previous owner?

I just bought an EBAY Box S 3.2L engine which I plan to install myself. I would sure like to know if the previous owner (s) ever replaced the IMSB. Anybody know how to use the VIN to find them?

It's tough. Your best bet is to contact the dealership the car was maintained at. Otherwise, since you already have the engine out, just replace it for peace of mind. Why go through all that trouble and not make sure the bearing is brand new?

Post a picture of the IMS cover and someone will tell you if it is original to the era or one of the aftermarket covers.

This. New looks different from the factory.
