Creacking boxster

Hi, I have just joined and maybe someone can help, My boxster S has the dreaded creaking noise, a mechanic has told me to inject the boots with a lubricant, that will stick , and wont get washed away. I have heard "lube for life" is good. does anyone have any other lubricants that i can easily buy, because i cannot find the lube for life brand, Thanks for your help!!!!

I actually just used wd40 at least as a temp fix. Only had issue on right side. Has been working now for about a year. If / when it comes back I will use something better.

If you are talking about CV joints you better get something in there besides WD40

I believe the OP is talking about the balljoints.

I would use something like bike chain lube that is designed to not attract dust. WD 40 has a habit of drying stuff out.

I did the WD40 thing for a year, it worked for 3-4 months each application
When I replace the Lower control arm, that ball joint was very sloppy, compared to the new and the other side.
