Timing chain tensioner markings

Hey, i noticed today while working on my 97 Boxster that my 1-3 tensioner did not have any markings on the head like I have read it should? It has been this way since I have owned it? Did some of the updated tensioners not have the same marking as the oem? What's up? LOL thanks in advance!!!
