Front Trunk Not Opening (No Release Cable)

Hey Guys,

PO had some minor fender damage and unknown to me they did something with the front trunk cable release behind the passenger front tire. Checked under the bumper and all the usual places one would logically redirect it, but no luck.

Normally wouldn't be a problem, but my front trunk will not open via interior control nor via remote.

Local Indy was able to scope it and get it open, while open actuator preformed normally, they noted closure taking more pressure than normal.

Seams appear fine, and can hear the actuator moving while closed.

1. Any ideas on where, how I can open without a scope?
2. Any ideas contributing factors on the trunk?

check behind tow plug hole... most relocate there for better/easier access

If not there, remove passenger headlight and black plastic insert piece the hood latch goes through and trace from the locking mechanism.
