He doesn't say there what the issue is, but it could be a few things which you can find by searching. It is likely not a head gasket as those are rock solid on the m96 engine. Either way, I'm going to guess you're either in for a complete rebuild or spending the coin to send the car to Jake. You are likely better off finding a used engine and putting that in the car.

Possibly, but you need to do some diagnostics to find out.
