been working on getting this duraflex bumper put on :mad: just an fyi to anyone considering buying one.... test fit.. test fit... test fit. this thing is not a great product. I knew it would be a challenge using an after market fiberglass part as it usually is but this bumper is extremely frustrating.

really need to build me a paint boot as well. looks great from 5ft away, get close and i should have took a light to it after primer to see more of the defects. hopefully by the end of the week i will have it permanently on there.

Cant wait to see what you do with the front wings/front flares

when i do the motor swap i plan on tearing the car down to nothing and redoing it all. the front wings/fenders are going to get widened along with the doors. check out the first few pics i posted in this thread and you can see my original thoughts with it. I'll be going back to that(and then some) look when i get back into it. I'm kind of anxious to get to the motor phase of this. once i see what the 3.8sc can do in this little car its going to motivate me to go big on everything else ;) its a fun quick little car but its not enough. it needs to be able to smoke my vette and keep up with the the car I'm building. to me nothing looks as exotic and fast as a porsche and this one needs to be able to live up to that ;)

Have you gotten anywhere on the engine swap? Have you placed the 3.8 in the engine bay to see how it fits?

no i haven't but ... it will fit lol I've already bought a ton of stuff for it and had the adapter plate,clutch, etc. made for it. its going in there one way or another lol as long as i don't have to cut into the firewall i will be happy. i can fab anything else to make to make it work. i just don't want to have to have to cut into the firewall. i'd like to find a salvage boxster so i can do all the fitting and fab work on that so all i have to do is drop mine and install the new when i get to that point. if anyone wants to donate an engine bay from a boxster i'll make you an install kit for the 3.8 ;) lol

I'd take that deal if shipping something that big wasn't a killer

well i don't have the rear panels on yet... don't be mad.. i want to drive it for a short time before i put them on lol I'm dying to drive it and its been a year since i got to so I'm going to drive it till the salt hits the road than jump back on it. but this is how it looks after the paint job, front/rear fiber glass bumper and the rims and tires. I'll post up the back bumper when i get a pic in the light. its one of the aftermarket one from ebay.
