I had a thin film all over my car last week - I think I had been behind a car on the freeway that was leaking coolant! I had to clay bar the car so I thought I would clay bar the windscreen & windows too - It made a BIG difference, a lot of muck came of the windscreen so I did it twice and then polished with Invis. Glass.
Cleaning the inside is easier if you sit in the passenger seat, again I use Invisible Glass, takes a couple of goes - I guess a lot of grease comes out of our mouths when we breath!
