Bumper pads in rear ? Need assist to a refinish thread
I call them bumper pads, the two black rectangular rubber parts on either side of the license plate.
I have been searching for a DIY thread on how to refinish them; can someone post their DIY link to this...

On this forum a lot refer to them as "bumperettes"
Search and you will find many posts, like this one:

painting them to color match the car would be best . you can buy everything you need from automotive touchup . if your handy it can be a fun easy DYI .

Some look really smooth and shinny, like the car body; is that from filling and sanding the bumperrettes ?

I used Forever Black on mine. Works way better than Back-to-Black, and it's a dye versus a dressing.

I disagree. I like the factory Black color. I think the contrast looks good

I got some wax on mine recently, and now there's white residue visible and won't go away with washing. I'll probably clean them up and plasti dip them because I like the black look too.

+1 for automotivetouchup.com. Here's a link to my project. I think they are held on with one bolt on the bottom.

Yes rear bumperette removal plate but I made my own. I bought a piece of black ABS plastic and made a template out of cardboard. Took it to a place that cuts glass and had them cut it for me.
