Battery dead can't open doors

The key should manually unlock the door. Then, one trick that works is to place a battery on the drivers side floor. Connect the positive to the fuse box per the instructions, ground to the steering column. Close the door. Unluckythe car using the remote. This should work. It is some work though.

That did not work for me, I tried and could get no current flow through that connection. That is the reason I went with the cigarette lighter...as soon as I saw the dash lights come up I hit the trunk unlock and click.....then of course charge the battery directly.....I was lucky my top was down and the car locked in my garage.

NO. You aren't even addressing the problem, but the locks are electric anyway, so double wrong and no gold star for you.
