Hello, Jonathan / Torrey Pines / 24

Just graduated from my bachelors in Science of Law and now I am ready for law school.

My parents thought a Silver Base 2001 Boxster with 51k would suit me best, so I woke up and saw this outside.

I went crazy! My dad has been showing me minis and abarths for the past month and I didn't know how to tell him I hated them.

So I asked him why the boxster? To me it was so random and he said that his 86 year old friend past away and him and his wife wanted to sell it before he got sick but he loved it too much because he had it since mile 1 and has every single maintenance record. This is better to me than a used car because he has more than 11k in just maintenance, My father got it for 20k.

Good price or not, I am happy. It's the perfect car (:

So guess what I just did,

3 hours into the car and I did the SNORKLE thing that I just read on this and I just removed the stock exhaust to do the Pedro mod. My dad changed the inner lights, frunk, trunk and plates to LED. I ordered led for the fog mod and for the back up and turn signals. I painted front grills black.

Will order rear lights, and drilled rotors and paint calipers red with Porsche logo. Will paint the interior gray parts with matching silver, also the back rest and tubes.

I am so happy, I always knew I wanted a 911 but omg, this thing is so cool.

Point of the story, this will be my Boxster blog, I am here for:

Upgrades and to meet my 986 brothers and sisters (:

What else to do to it ppl?

Welcome to the forum. Nice car upgraded seats to boot. I have both a Boxster and a Cayman. One thing I suggest is to take a peek into the front bumper grill. Both of my cars were full of trash they seem to vacuum up the crap. Taking bumper off is fairly strait forward there are also DYI for putting grills in place to keep the junk out. Enjoy the car they are truly unique and a blast to drive.

Have fun!

Don't know if anyone pointed this out yet, but you missed a small strip on your chin when you were shaving this morning. Didn't want you to go out in public like that.

I've enjoyed the performance mods I've done, but all are reversible

Now, you DO want an under drive pulley. That adds felt HP.

LoL it's called a flavor savor, you know to remind me of how hot my gf smells. Jk (X

Drive Pulley? I'll search into that.
I also ordered the Sprint Booster and KN&N filter.

Any other add-ons I am missing for performance?

Under-drive pulley.
Rear cat-delete pipes.
Check water pump age, check AOS for any signs of oil on the vent tube. Replace if oil is present.

Get a good alignment. Check sway bar bushings, drop links for wear. Consider wheel bearings. Much smoother and quieter ride.

Nice car. Congrats. Is it my imagination, or isn't that a pre-facelift car? It doesn't look like an 04 from the front.

Could you fit the rear bumper back with the Pedro's PSE?

amagalla, you are correct, the front bumper is not from an '03-04'. They had painted slats over the radiator openings. Link to image of 03-04 bumper.

Yeah, the owner had killed a dog like in the 1st 10k and they replaced it with that.

Install is complete, sounds perfect.
I don't really like loud cars and this is perfect.

It's the way it should of came.
