Boxster S Wheel Fitment

Looking for some second opinions on wheel sizing/fitment on my boxster.

Current wheel size is the OEM S wheel, 17x7 front +55et and 17x8.5 rear +48et. The wheels I am looking into are a 17x8 and 17x9 +40 et. I calculated that the distance from the hub to the outside edge will increase by about 1" in the front and a 1/2" inch in the rear in comparison to the OEM wheel. This lower offset would probably give me the look I would like, BUT the I would need a 15 mm adapter to use the wheels as the lug pattern is different.

So my question is, do you think the extra 15mm for the adapter is going to sit the wheel out too far? Or will it be some what reasonable?

Thanks in advance.

Yes it will be too far out. Search for wheels with the Porsche lug pattern and correct offset for the best fit and function.
