Bike Rack

Anybody have any luck with a bike rack on a Box? I'm not talking about a custom hitch design or the bike rack that goes on the roof. I'm thinking of a rack that goes on the trunk like all other cars.

Bird Automotive is the only some-what trunk mounted solution. Two pipes are permanently installed under the rear of the car and the Bird bike rack slides on/off. The Porsche RTS (roof transport system) is the only solution that would not require any extra drilling or holes. The Williwood trailer hitch is another option.

Back to your question, I am not aware of any trunk mounted solutions, like you would have on a sedan. And if such a solution existed, I would be concerned about paint damage.

For a while I used a Saris Bones rack. It worked well. I made a coup,e of magnetic pads to put onto the trunk lid, and the lower arms hit the bumper guards.
