Air oil separator faulty

Hi need help have a boxster s 2001 has fault code misfire on No5 have replaced coil pack and plug work ok for day have check wiring ok but have oil in the intake manifold so could the air oil separator cause the misfire???? Regards webby

Webby,Suggest you use search .There is plenty of AOS info to answer your questions.
Briefly,& please search theses issues:
1.Check for excessive vacuum at the oil filler cap .Use a slack tube manometer or modern equivalent -or just your hand !
2.Clean all the oil soaked components internally after you replace(?) the AOS.Particularly the MAF.
3.Make sure the oil filler tube is not cracked.It will leak oil/vacuum.
4.Be careful not to disturb the brittle vacuum lines. Be prepared to replace any damaged vacuum lines.
