I think I somehow moved into Porsche Central...!

After years of living south of town I finally bought a house in the city again to be closer to work, friends, and family.
But as I'm settling in, I'm starting to notice something...

The alleyway behind me:

A few doors down:

Around the corner:

At the neighborhood coffee shop:

An auto consignment shop down the road:

Hey, I'm lovin' it, but what's going on here?
It's like Invasion Of The Body Snatchers, but... with Porsches.

Good on ya! Congrats on the new house

We have a sudden invasion of Macan here. Not a single day goes by without seeing at least 3 or 4. They are literally everywhere suddenly. Similar to the Cayenne invasion a few years ago but x2.. possibly x3

Buy Porsche's shares/stocks everyone lolll

Thank you nine8six! Oddly I've only seen one Macan since they came out here. At least they're selling somewhere so Porsche can keep getting development money for their sports cars.

Antny, very close! I moved to Lansbrook. I have noticed that Nichols Hills is fairly ripe with 911s and Panameras, along with a few Boxsters. You probably recognize Bauer's Car Connection. They always had interesting higher end used cars, but have become very Porsche-centric lately.

Porsche9, yeah, he thought I was taking a picture of him, but when I explained it was the car he got a kick out of it. it's an '88 that he's had since new. His daily driver is a white Cayenne.

Your area must be a "Drive a Porsche and make the city beautiful" area!

I not sure what else sport cars 'desperately' needs to be made better than they already are. Different engine maybe, but still it's another engine (same?!). Better aero, again, still aero... just different. Me think $ goes in Mr Big Pocket more than in R&D. Don't believe everything you read loll

Unfortunately for me the city/neighborhood here is Italian Supercar Central only. Already started to see those 918 also, P1s, Bugattis, etc etc. You sometimes see Porsche cars but mainly all spanking NEW GT3 or TurboS. Seen a few 987s but extremely-extremely rare

I might see 2 Porsche vehicles in a month where I live. I kind of like it.

Your house ok with all this rain we had lately? I see your over by Ski Island and I can only imagine how much water you got over there. Well at least you are close to cars and coffee now .

No flooding here, but the yard is extremely squishy!
Hope it finally dries out, but we are supposed to get another wave later this week.
If you typically make C&C, I'll probably see you there.

I normally don't go. Too early in the morning for me on a Saturday . I went 2 months ago and did a little sales talk to some of the older guys with some exotics but do not normally go. Glad to know your new house faired well. Hopefully the next coupe days aren't too bad. Today was a beautiful day to have the top down.

It was, and I did!
68-72 degrees and partly cloudy.
I know what you mean about C&C. I make about a third of them. After, say, 10am most of them are gone already.
I hope you get a chance to get out and enjoy the day today. That's supposed to be it for awhile.
PS: did you get any flooding or hail damage where you are?

Nope I am out off Sara Road and no flooding or hail damage. My back yard pools water. My house is 2 years old so all the grass isn't in yet. Makes it a pain with 2 german shepherds who need to go outside.

Nearly Porscheless

I live in a town of about 30,000 in Michigan. It seems like about every third vehicle is a Yukon Denali or a Cadillac Escalade so there is no shortage of vehicles in the $75,000 - $85,000 range but few Porsches. To my knowledge there is only one other Boxster in town and a handful of Cayennes. Michigan roads and long winters are part of it I'm sure.

I haven't yet seen a 356 for sale in OK so I can't really comment, but I'm curious about the one in that showroom, even though I suspect it's a kit.

Wow, Sara Rd is out there a bit. I sympathize about the dogs. My back yard pools as well, and I have to put the dog in the garage to dry off first before letting her inside. Grass refuses to grow, so I'm going to have it landscaped entirely in river rock or gravel and plant succulents in raised beds.

I hear ya. I am about to seed my back yard really good once it dries up a bit. I got some news today that will make me frequent C&C more now. I have some really good intel a CEO of a local company has already placed an order in for a 918 and it should be arriving soon.

Interesting news! I'll have to start looking for that too.
Might be the first 918 in OK.
