Every time I work in the front of the car and the hood is up, the compartment light automatically turns on. I wish Porsche designer placed a switch to turn off this light so you have a choice to save power from the battery. What I normally do is to pull out the light module and disconnect the wiring. And this is not good if you do it all the time you work in there. So I decided if I can replace that light module with a dome light that is typically used on all cars. So what I did is, I went to car junk yard and found a used dome light from a Hyundai car. I took and bought this dome light for $5 and painted it black. It was originally in silver. I cut out and glued this dome light and now, I can turn off and on the light whenever I needed it. Please see the attached pictures.:dance:
