Headlight Weirdness

I'm doing a retrofit for one of our members and I came across something I've never seen before, which is rare for me. His headlights have spirit levels on the inner lenses

Just thought I'd share in case anyone else finds it odd or interesting.
They are OEM, not something that was added.

I honestly can't see how they would ever be useful. Too many variables for them to be of any use to the consumer.

If I haven't done min 30-40 retrofits at this end I haven't done a single one (from Japan, China down to Thailand) and I've never seen those things. Seen a lot of half melted/burnt plastic lenses however loll

Just so you don't feel alone... on that (for me) fascinating discovery
