ignition

My wife accidently put her Kia key into my 2005 Boxster ignition and tried to start the car. After she removed the key (which did not break off) the Boxster will no longer allow me to enter my key. The steering wheel is locked and I am unable to insert the key. Help!!!

Get under the drivers side dash, pull out the piece of ductwork (just pulls out), and disconnect the purple connector from the rear of the ignition switch. Plug it back in and the key may work.

If not, she may have jammed up part of the lock mechanism. Spray it with some graphite or wd-40 to loosen things up.
