That is the connector for the rare (and hyper expensive) factory cell phone setup. It is also a great connection point for things like a radar detector install as it carries both switched power and a ground connection.

Thanks! Hmm switched power and a ground... I think I just found the power connector to scavenge for my tablet install. Now if I can figure out how to get the sound out to the stock headunit. I installed the Becker USB AUX-in and my iPhone works fine on AUX mode but the Windows 8.1 tablet is not allowing me to do sound over the USB.

Also check your rotors, if they are worn enough they can cut the wires.
