I'm curious just how much more the cayman weighs. With a giant wing, track computers and etc. Could be very comparable.

Love the car, and really love the driving video! No words needed. :)

I'd like to see this after RUF, BGB or some other upgrade the suspension of the Spyder and maybe exhaust, figure 400 HP all in for both Cayman GT4 and Spyder. Then, add a third contender the 991 GTS to the starting line being that its been given some upgrades via the PowerKit and Sport Exhaust for the 430 HP (30 more than the 991S). My feeling is that 30 HP would not be enough over a whole lap to give the rear engine car an unfair advantage.

According to the website...

Boxster Spyder
Unladen weight (DIN) 1,315 kg

Cayman GT4
Unladen weight (DIN) 1,340 kg

Not a big a difference as you might think.

Important thins is where the weight is.

Once I read that Porsche made an effort to give the Cayman GT4 a bespoke body shell it made me think they were aware of this advantage of the Spyder. And perhaps why the weight savings on the 981 Spyder is not as diligent as it was on the 987 Spyder. Seems odd that big weight savings were achieved with other models like the 991 over the 997 but the SPyder only saw a marginal weight reduction this time around.
