$60 plus shipping and handling!
I think I'll stick with my bucket and microfiber wrapped sponge thingy.

"I think I'll stick with my bucket and microfiber wrapped sponge thingy."
Was that you Randall, who first recommended the microfiber wrapped sponge thingy on this board? I got one based on the recommendation and agree, much better than a sasquatch-style wash mitt !
Thanks.

get a sea sponge $20. it sucks in the grit
I'm very leary of using microfiber repeatedly to wash with.
Those hooked fibers are good at lifting sediments and dirt but they also are stubborn at letting them go. I've washed them several times and could still
see debris in between the fibers.
MF is fine when its clean a nightmare on paint surfaces when its not 100% clean.
I only use MF with looped ends like the SOnus Der Wunder towels (very short nap).
Lately I've been spraying FK 425 on my drying towel and the car itself to increase the lubrication and reduce swirling while drying (sometimes the car isn't totally clean and you can't see it). But any quick detailer will work just as well.
grit guards for the buckets are also key and an ounce of Optimum No-Rinse in both the wash and rinse bucket. It encapsulates dirt and the dirt then sinks to the bottom past the grit guard so you are only working with clean water.

PL's dilemma is a very good reason why I will never, ever live in a condo again. Too many stupid rules.

PL, what other simple processes in your life have you over-engineered?
I have found that my MF sponge thingy, when washed well in the clothes washer, really looks and feels quite clean (no dryer softening sheets used though)
I do want to replace it though. I think a new one every year is a good idea.
Anyone want to buy a MF sponge thingy, slightly used, at a reasonable price?

I try do it like Pros whenever possible!
I've got friends in the detailing business some who work only on Mercedes Benz and they are ADAMANT about proper washing procedures. German paints are very delicate and aren't used by U.S. body shops. Over the years I've learned that most of the damage and dulling of new car paint comes as a consequence of the owner not washing properly.
this car below was never garage kept or repainted in 10 years and at the time the pic was taken had never seen a PC. And boy was it washed OFTEN

Ahahahahaahahaha niiiiice.
I think I'm pretty fastidious about my car, but probably not enough. My wrists hurt too much these days (typing all day ) such that i can't really spend a day claying, polishing, waxing a million coats, etc.

Ha!
that picture is that of an amateur!
Mr. Clean Autodry? no self respecting detailing addict would ever be caught with such a thing
p.s.
I'm in Union County about 25 minutes outside of NYC. Well for now, looks like I'm moving (Lease is up). You should come down to one of our local autocrosses. We run them at Giants Stadium. There were 140 cars this past Sunday!

May 7th there will be Porsche Club Autocross at Giants Stadium and May 14 there will an M-Club (started by BMW M guys) at the same place.
Porsche club events are the wine and cheese crowd but still fun.
The M-Club attracts many more different types of cars and is more competitive.
Some nice P-Cars should be in attendance on the 7th. There's also a BMW autocross event a bit further south on the same day so that means there won't be too many cars in one place. You should rent a mustang and take it for a few laps!
