I can't seem to get the side vent off my 99 boxster. Took the screw out have tried everything but nothing will budge! Any advice?

You need to push up and to the rear on the upper rear corner of the vent, then pull out the lower front corner of the vent. There is a small lip on the lower front corner that holds the vent in.
Sometimes pushing up and to the rear on the vent will help to clear the lip, sometimes not, but that's where you're hung up.
