I wouldn't touch this car, let alone pay what you could buy a nice 987 for.
Agreed. With you and GTA. That's why I called it a shame, and knew GTA was being sarcastic when he called it a 'steal.'

I wouldn't touch it either.

Imagine buying a 2020 boxster for $80,000

Driving it for 2,200 miles and keeping it as a garage queen. Then decided to cash in on your precious car in 2040 and selling it for $30,000

Nothing about the idea seems smart to me lol. If I buy a car I’m driving it. If I buy for investment purposes it would be more of limited production vehicle...... but that’s just me and my money hahhahaha

Typical sleazy car dealers.

Same sleazy people who call these things "Options":

6-Cyl, 2.5 Liter
Manual, 5-Spd
RWD
ABS (4-Wheel)
Air Conditioning
Power Windows
Power Door Locks
Power Steering
Telescoping Wheel
AM/FM Stereo
Cassette
Dual Air Bags
Side Air Bags
Dual Power Seats
Rear Spoiler
Alloy Wheels

I'm curious, if you didn't get the RWD "option" what else was available to you?

There was a little-known model for certain markets only that came standard with FPS, the "Feuerstein Propulsion System"

A little irony, at least to me...

This is being 'debated' on a Porsche forum whereas the phrase/quote originated from one of the most notable and largest (private) collectors of Porsches.

Incidentally, for those who don't know, he also featured an image of at least one Porsche in each episode (along w/ Superman).

Carry on...

Nice! I heard about Superman, not the Porsche images.

I'm glad you recognized the reference and thanks for pointing out the irony!

They're like all over the refrigerator along with a Skip Barber poster (or magnet). In some of the latter episodes he has the boxster prototype up there.

Of course it's a guy from Amherst that's making a big deal about it. Calm down, snowflake.

Of course I'm no moderator, but the Forum remains pretty loosely moderated.

Please check yourself before posting. Bad jokes and humor that may offend a range of people may be okay, but Don't make it personal.

I have seen some good, helpful members leave the forum because just a few people or a single person made comments that they felt were a personal attack.

We should all be here to learn, help, or entertain. Please take a moment before clicking 'Submit Reply' and consider your words.

Where's the "like this post" button?

I know I've offended people on occasion... but I sure like y'all. I'd hate to see any of my friends feel attacked.

Likewise I may have offended a few. I'm sorry.

MT... Since I'm a shut-in and don't often venture out... I'm still looking for a USPS stamp. Soon, Pal. Soon.
