I know this question maybe basic to some. but for me I can't figure it out. I figure the answer is yes. but just want to make sure.

I am buying some porsche rims.

I have stock turbo twists 17" I am buying stock boxster S rims 17"

sizes:

FRONT 6.5 JX 17H2 OFFSET 55MM
REAR 8J X 17H2 OFFSET 40MM

Will my current almost tires fit these rims? 205/50R17 and 255/40R17.

thx

Front tires are a good fit. The rear tires are pushing beyond the recommended size for an 8" width wheel.

Michelin tires Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus
Performance All-Season
The next generation of all-season performance, MICHELIN Pilot Sport A/S Plus provides an unrivaled combination of all-weather performance and tread life for high-end performance vehicles.
Tire Size Rim Sizes Price All prices in US Dollars
255/40ZR17 ( 636x255, 25.0x10.0 ) 94Y 17x7.5 to 17x9.5 $269.98

This show that the tires will fit. Again i know nothing about it. Just trying to see if I need new tires. According to the website That tire size is within spec of 17x8J.

Install them. After you have worn out the center of the tire and get less traction go get the proper size tire for that rim, which are 225, 235 ideal and 245 max.

Do the rims have to be staggered ? I have the option of 18" but all four of the are 8.5x18. with 255/55/18 tires.
